In addition, since the inception of the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST), AISD has received Superior ratings for financial management. This Superior achievement rating is the state’s highest recognition, demonstrating the quality of AISD’s financial management and reporting systems.

THIS CHART SHOWS TAX RATES IN AISD FOR THE PAST FIVE YEARS, PER $100 OF PROPERTY VALUE. IN 2015, VOTERS OF AISD APPROVED A TAX RATIFICATION ELECTION (TRE) TO INCREASE THE MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS TAX RATE FROM $1.04 TO $1.17. AT THE SAME TIME, THE DEBT RATE WAS DECREASED TO $0.10. THE RATE HAS REMAINED THE SAME SINCE 2015.
